Raw Bliss

We happily spent the recent extended weekend in my hometown with my father in his hidden piece of farmville. Where he is aptly retiring, enjoying simple pleasure of provincial life.

On the side , Guinayangan Republic tagged us along in his quest of completing the blog posts of 54 barangays of our town. Last Sunday, we found him about to explore the beach of Sabang / Brgy. Arbismin. Never been there. Or in any barangay of my town that would require trekking of more than 30 minutes away from the mainland. Although , I officially hailed from this town , I grew up in the downtown and was never into exploration of uphill places not until this time. It was with much regret that I didn't do it earlier in my life. But hey, nothing's too late when you start today! Right ?!

We drove up the quiet, rugged, dusty, rocky road which reminded me so well of the connecting roads of Calauag and Guinayangan , 10 years ago.

We passed by some barangays and drove straight forward, I didn't notice any cross roads, by the way. Then we ended up on this dead lock :

A river. If we wished to cross over it , we had to ride a banca. But we weren't sure of the other side either. So we drove back a short distance from the river bank and got off the car, trekked a short road to the left, going to the ocean as it was visible from the road.

lollipop, bottled water & a shitsu

Bounties of nature spread around . After 15 minutes of trekking the path to nowhere. . we found this :

The gateway to paradise . .

We ran excitedly and was wowed to what we just discovered !

Bare. Raw. Beautiful ! We love it ! I wonder who owns it , must be one of my neighbors. Is this for sale? O God, please let me win a Lotto ! ! Make my dream come true ! !

We continued exploring the beautiful beach and got charmed by its first impression made progressively lingering as we stayed on.

obviously, Guinayangan Republic was behind the lens, thank you so much , for a while I was able to enjoy the sights with my bare eyes.

At the end of the beach, we found another mouth of a river. We sit for a minute then followed back the path we walked on.

We exited the same way we entered. . only with happier spirits. Dear Lord, thank you for the gift of nature . . thank you for this bliss !
