Water Colors

In my lovely 3rd world country_ it's right now night rainy season. When the clock strikes a lil' whille after midnoon, the sky begins to darken and makes sounds as if to warn us that she's going to pour any minute then. True enough, it never fails to rain in the afternoon til' early night_daily  this month.

Yet my minds travels back to recent summer nights. When the sky was starry and kind. Night swimming was awesome and sweet. Kaleidoscope pool was beaming, colors were saturating up into our own skin.

Ohh, I miss night swim in the pool with 7 colors. I miss nights without rain out pours.

Big Waves

When I was a kid, big waves frightened me. I was so afraid of them I failed to learn how to swim, even though I hailed from a town nestled beside a gulf. I remember as a young girl, the sea was part of my playground. Lucky I was _ I grew up in a picturesque town as my playground. The whole yard of it, with rivers, mountains and hills to complete the scene. If you were like me who grew up in such a town with nature abound , you couldn't help but be a nature lover all the way thru' to adulthood and naturally passed it on to your own children.

My girls also have it on them_ the love for mother nature. The only difference is that they are not afraid of big waves. On the contrary, they enjoy swimming against the huge waves, and yes they learned how to swim.

Another Tale of Cujo

Cujo's day out continued to the beach. From the palm wood, he refused to walk the trail to reach the sea.

He was carried like a prince up until he got curious with the huge body of water beside the shore and asked for himself to get down.

Another first for this city pup, he got a taste of the salty water, swam a little and quickly turned his plumpy haired body to a limp-y haired boned structure.

Cujo recovered immediately and went ahead to explore the cove with us.

Finally, we found a shed beside a residential hut and took a rest. After a while Cujo could no longer bear the mid-noon heat and asked to be brought inside the air cooled car. He stayed inside the car while watching us enjoyed harvesting fruits from the trees .

Boracay Regency

One of the hotels we were eye-ing to stay in Boracay was the Boracay Regency. Che wanted the idea of a pool right outside our door, so the kids could swim near and the beachfront location of the hotel in the midst of the busy station2 was ideal for Che's idea of a Bora getaway. It was summer peak season when we went there so we knew we got smallest chance to get a room.

But cousin Che wasn't easy to get dissuaded by a big no in Manila sales office. She still insisted to go straight from the airport to Boracay Regency to get a room.

She boxed hard at the front desk and finally we were told there was one available room. Good news? nah ! It was a Royal Suite fit for a king!

It's a room for a family of two or three. Aside from the extra rooms of the suite that we didn't need, the room was quite expensive ($500++ a night) too.

Only until then, cuzin' had given up. Well, there's still coming Bora next time anyway.
