A Tale of Cujo

Cujo is a curious pup. He wants to go anywhere ate Kyla goes. Into the woods he went with Kyla. Hailed from the city, Cujo was amazed by the nature abound surrounded him.

One alien thing snapped him to excitement. He ran so fast pulling Kyla toward this pile of _ _ ???

He sniffed. . sniffed.. walked around it, oblivious of the carabao (water buffalo) who was watching his pile of possessions.

Mr. Carabao begun to snarl so loud as if to warn Cujo to get away from his pile.

Cujo didn't try to protest a single bark word and walked away with us.

Next stop > to the beach. Swim with Cujo on the next post. See yah !

Batis Aramin

I spent the whole day lazily in bed at Batis Aramin, Lucban Quezon. I came from a stressful prev day and was not in my right senses to enjoy a day/overnight stay with my loved ones. My cam, I guess felt the same and except for the few entrance shots by Myka/Kyla, I didn't take any photos.

After checking -in, I hit the bed and couldn't remember much. Later I felt better and joined the girls in the pool.

The resort is located just across the Kamay ni Jesus, a park with giant religious statues and was swarmed by local tourists that day when we were there, so we also took a pass on it and decided to visit it later when crowd is not that busy. We haven't til now.

The next morning, we woke-up and checked out. Well I guess, this resort needs a revisit. Until then. . .

Boracay Regency

One of the hotels we were eye-ing to stay in Boracay was the Boracay Regency. Che wanted the idea of a pool right outside our door, so the kids could swim near and the beachfront location of the hotel in the midst of the busy station2 was ideal for Che's idea of a Bora getaway. It was summer peak season when we went there so we knew we got smallest chance to get a room.

But cousin Che wasn't easy to get dissuaded by a big no in Manila sales office. She still insisted to go straight from the airport to Boracay Regency to get a room.

She boxed hard at the front desk and finally we were told there was one available room. Good news? nah ! It was a Royal Suite fit for a king!

It's a room for a family of two or three. Aside from the extra rooms of the suite that we didn't need, the room was quite expensive ($500++ a night) too.

Only until then, cuzin' had given up. Well, there's still coming Bora next time anyway.

Pinoy Tricycle

Next to Philippine jeepney, tricycle is the most popular road transportation in the Philippines.

Tricycle is a motorcycle with a passenger sidecar attached to it. Legally, it could carry at a max of 4 passengers, yet Filipino's innovation didn't stop at the invention of this vehicle. It continues to find ways how to maximize the numbers of passengers. It loads as many as the spaces of a tricycle allows, sometimes the roof is also loaded with two to three passengers in more rural areas.

Different provinces have their own designs/versions of tricycle. In Aklan, I saw versions with added passenger seats at the back of the sidecar body.

It's the most common if not the only means of road transportation in most rural areas in the country. Otherwise this vehicle can also be seen outside the main roads of the cities and in the roads of suburban villages.
